Editing a Job

It's very easy to make edits to your job posting on Indeed. We recommend that you read Writing effective job titles and descriptions to ensure your jobs are optimised to achieve the best results.

Individual Updates

To edit your job details:

  1. Visit Indeed.com and click the Employer link at the top of the page, then sign in
  2. Click "Edit Job" on the employer dashboard

From the edit screen you can:

  • Edit your job title, location and job description
  • Use our text formatting options such as bold, italics and bullet points to enhance your job posting’s appearance. These options can be found below the Job Description field
  • Change the status of your job posting to Open, Paused or Closed using the status drop-down menu located beneath the job description

Note: Paused jobs remain visible in your dashboard. Closed jobs are hidden but can be retrieved by clicking "Show Closed"

Bulk Updates

To edit your job details or set a budget:

  1. Visit Indeed.com and click the Employer link at the top of the page, then sign in
  2. Select the checkbox on left hand rail for any job you wish to update

Status:

  1. Select Open, Closed or Paused
  2. Confirm your status changes by clicking OK
