These guidelines are designed to help employers and Jobseekers understand Indeed’s quality standards. Indeed works to deliver the best jobseeker experience and recognises that there are meaningful differences between particular industries and markets. These differences are reflected in our implementation of these guidelines as they are often industry or market specific. Not adhering to these guidelines may impact job visibility on the site.
Jobs and Only Jobs
Indeed does not allow non-job postings. This includes, but is not limited to, training and education opportunities, franchising opportunities, multi-level marketing opportunities, jobseeker employment solicitation, expired jobs, and jobs which do not represent a specific employer vacancy.
Accurate and Detailed Jobs
Indeed does not allow jobs with deceptive, generic, misleading, or missing job information.
Jobs from Authorised Parties
Do not use job content that is not yours. Indeed does not allow jobs from parties not authorised to post on behalf of the employer. Each job that appears on Indeed must be offered by an authorised representative of the company seeking to fill a position. Third parties recruiting on behalf of an employer must be clearly identified so as not to misrepresent this relationship to the Jobseeker.
Indeed values connecting Jobseekers with employers and will seek to connect these parties in the most direct way possible. Indeed partners with many content providers to bring quality content to our Jobseekers, but we will prioritise the version of the job coming directly from the employer.
Jobs Without Fees
Indeed values providing Jobseekers with job opportunities which are free from employee cost. Fees or required training coming at a cost to Jobseekers can be indicative of predatory employment practices.
Quality Titles and Descriptions
Indeed values jobs with titles and descriptions that are detailed, accurate, and well formatted. Leave clickbait and extraneous job details out of titles. Job descriptions should primarily provide details about the role and should not focus on non-pertinent company information.
Indeed values providing users with high quality experiences on our site. Jobs, content, and messages that are offensive and expose jobseekers or employers to content which is vulgar, illicit, etc. violate this guideline.
Jobs that do not meet Indeed standards may be subject to review and require additional information from the hiring company. Listings that prove misleading, compromise the jobseeker experience or those which we are not convinced represent a “real” job may be removed from search results altogether. Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest.
