Indeed Resume Subscription FAQs

In 2018, users of Indeed Resume will need to have a subscription to contact candidates. Each subscription grants a set number of contacts per month and we will no longer charge employers on a per contact basis. Please review our FAQs below for more information. Should you have further questions please reach out to your Indeed Account Executive or contact our support team.

For All Users

Q: What will Indeed Resume cost?
A: You can choose from two subscription options: the Standard Subscription of 30 contacts per month or the Professional Subscription of 100 contacts per month. You’ll be able to save 20% if you make an annual purchase. Pricing will vary based on the market.

Q: How do I purchase an Indeed Resume subscription?
A: Only administrators of your employer account will be able to purchase subscriptions. The ability to purchase a subscription will be made available at resumes.indeed.com. If you are not an administrator, please reach out to your account administrator to get a subscription assigned to you.

Q: What is a contact?
A: A contact is a single use ability to initiate a conversation with a job seeker through Indeed Resume.

Q: When do my monthly contacts expire?
A: Monthly contacts expire 6 months after being granted. Older contacts will be used first automatically. Contacts are only usable with a non-expired subscription.

Q: What are contact credits?
A: Contact credits are contacts that we grant back to the subscription. The contact credit expires 6 months after the original contact was granted. Contact credits are granted at the sole discretion of Indeed and Indeed reserves the right to change the contact credits system at any time.

Q: How do I receive contact credits?
A: Contact credits are granted when a candidate responds to your message and if we’re able to track the response sent back from the candidate. Positive candidate responses will receive 2 contact credits, and negative candidate responses will receive 1 contact credit. If a candidate selects the button indicating that they are not interested in you, Indeed will count this as a negative response. If a candidate selects the button indicating that they are interested in you, or the candidate directly responds to your email via Indeed, Indeed will count this as a positive response. Contact credits are granted at the sole discretion of Indeed and Indeed reserves the right to change the contact credits system at any time.

Q: Are there guidelines on contacting candidates on Indeed Resume?
A: Yes, we have some guidelines to adhere to when contacting candidates. Review our Do’s and Don’ts guideline to ensure you maximize your contacts on Indeed Resume.

For Non Account Administrators

Q: How do I get a subscription to contact candidates?
A: Reach out to your account administrator to get a subscription assigned to you so you can start contacting candidates.

For Account Administrators

Q: How do I find out if I’m an administrator?
A: If you’re an account administrator, you’ll be able to view and access  the “users” page in the upper right-hand corner under your email address on Indeed.

Q: What capabilities do administrators have?
A: Only administrators will be able to purchase subscriptions. Additionally, administrators have the ability to allocate contacts among users associated to your account and can also assign, re-assign or unassign subscriptions to these users.

Q: I’ve purchased a subscription, how do I or how does my team begin contacting candidates?
A: Under the Manage Subscriptions page, you will be able to assign your subscription to a user associated to your account or yourself. Once the subscription has been assigned to a user that user can start contacting candidates. Only users with a non-expired subscription (i.e. active or expiring) assigned to them will be able to contact candidates.

Q: What happens when I cancel my subscription?
A: You’ll be able to continue contacting candidates until your next billing date. If you have remaining contacts left in your subscription they will continue to remain available should you renew your subscription at a later date, or you can move them to an active subscription. Contacts will expire 6 months after they are granted. You will lose access to job seeker names and contact information without a non-expired subscription.

Q: How do I assign an Indeed Resume subscription?
A: In the Manage Subscriptions page, you can assign, re-assign or unassign any non-expired subscription (i.e. active or expiring) to different users that are associated to your account.

Q: Can a subscription be shared among multiple recruiters?
A: Each subscription can only be assigned to one person at a time but you can freely move non-expired subscriptions between users.

Q: Can multiple subscriptions be assigned to a single recruiter?
A: A recruiter can only be assigned one subscription per market. A recruiter can have multiple subscriptions if each subscription is for a different market.

Q: Can I move my contact allotment between subscriptions?
A: If you purchase more than one subscription you can move your contact allotment between subscriptions.

Q: What if I need more contacts per month than what is provided in each subscription?
A: You can add more contacts to a subscription by purchasing additional contacts each month at the per contact rate, or by adding additional subscriptions.

Q: Do monthly subscriptions automatically renew or do I need to purchase a new subscription every month?
A: Monthly subscriptions automatically renew every month on your billing date. For monthly subscriptions, contacts are granted to you on a monthly basis.

Q: How does annual subscriptions automatically renew?
A: An annual subscription automatically renew every year on your billing date.

Q: How are contacts granted for annual subscriptions?
A: For annual subscriptions, contacts are granted to you on a monthly basis.

Q: How do I cancel my subscription?
A: You can cancel the renewal of your subscription in the Manage Subscriptions page.

Q: What will I be charged if the currency listed for a Resume subscription is different than my preferred billing currency?
A: You will be billed in your preferred currency. We’ll convert the Resume subscription price from the local currency to your preferred billing currency based on a currency exchange rate.

Q: What currency exchange rate will be used?
A: The exchange rate Resume subscription uses is gathered from Oanda and the European Central Bank. The exchange rate is determined on a daily basis.

Q: How is price determined per billing period?
A: The price in your preferred billing currency will change based on your billing period. If you’ve chosen a monthly subscription we will convert the local currency of the Resume subscription price to your preferred billing currency every month on your billing date. If you’ve chosen an annual subscription we will convert the local currency of the Resume subscription price to your preferred billing currency every year on your billing date. 

For Featured Employers

Q: What type of Indeed Resume benefits do Featured Employers receive?
A: Featured Employers will be able to earn Indeed Resume Rewards based on their Sponsored Job spend. The number of Indeed Resume Rewards is awarded at Indeed’s sole discretion. Indeed Resume Rewards can be used to buy resume subscriptions and additional contacts. Indeed Resume Rewards will expire in 1 year.

Q: How do I become a Featured Employer?
A: Featured Employer is awarded at Indeed’s sole discretion. The ability to receive Featured Employer, generally, is a function of both the number of open jobs at your company and how much you spend. The Featured Employer program may be changed or removed by Indeed at any time, at Indeed’s sole discretion. Reach out to your Indeed Account Executive to learn more about the spending criteria to qualify for Featured Employer or or contact our support team.
