Post Job

How to use message placeholders

Message placeholders help you personalize each message that you send to a candidate by including specific attributes of the job or candidate, such as the candidate's name and the job title. With message placeholders, you can save a template and send it to multiple candidates without having to manually replace the job or candidate details.

Available placeholders include:

  • {CANDIDATE_NAME} → inserts the candidate’s name
  • {JOB_TITLE} → inserts the job title
  • {JOB_LOCATION} → inserts the location of the job to which the candidate applied
  • {COMPANY_NAME} → inserts the name of the company

Example message:

Subject:

Your application for {JOB_TITLE} in {JOB_LOCATION}

Body:

Hi {CANDIDATE_NAME},

Thank you for applying to {COMPANY_NAME}! Can you tell us what hours you’re available to work during the week?

What the candidate would see:

Subject:

Your application for Head Chef in New York, NY

Body:

Hi Julia Child,

Thank you for applying to The French Bistro! Can you tell us what hours you’re available to work during the week?
