Part 2: Using Resume
Do’s and Don’ts
The following guidelines will help you use Indeed Resume to communicate with candidates in ways that are consistent with Indeed’s standards for an optimal job seeker experience. Please note that this list is a guide, not a comprehensive list of what is allowable or forbidden.
Do:
- personalize your message
- present only a single job for the candidate
- explain why the job is a good fit from your perspective
- be transparent about compensation
Don't:
- be vague about job details or your company
- reach out to candidates with jobs that aren't relevant for them
- contact a candidate about anything else but a specific job
Messaging Best Practices
To get candidates’ attention, you need to show them why your job opportunity is relevant to their experience.
Here are some tips to improve response rates when contacting candidates on Indeed Resume.
Resume Alerts
Indeed Resume alerts are emails that are sent out daily, containing links to new resumes that match your search criteria.
Read through our article on Resume Alerts to learn how to set up and cancel alerts.
Contact Crediting System
Each Resume subscription has a set amount of contacts that are deducted from your subscription each time you reach out to a candidate and added back when candidates respond to your message.
Check out our article on Resume contact credits to learn how they work.
